Meet Elsa. She's a young French woman in her twenties, the granddaughter of a newsstand owner, and she grew up surrounded by coffee and books. These days she runs the café herself, reading and writing between shifts and hoping her own work finds readers someday.
Brick lines borrow from classic European shopfronts, and the warm brown-and-yellow palette gives the café a welcoming, coffee-house feel.
Quick disassembly lets you poke around inside. Add a floor or move the roof around; the layout is yours to rebuild.
Downstairs there's a blackboard menu, coffee machine, grinder, cash register, dessert cabinet, and tables and chairs placed as they would be in real life. Upstairs, a bookshelf, phonograph, sofa, book trolley and floor lamp set a quiet reading mood.
Outside: one street lamp, two pendant lamps and a wall lamp. Inside: a floor reading lamp plus five ceiling lamps. Switch them on at night and the café glows from the street in.
Slot the Book-Cafe into a growing town collection or connect it with other modular buildings to stretch out a whole streetscape.
1718 building blocks, a lighting kit and one clear assembly guide.
